Mark Ray, 44, immediate past president of the European Piano Teachers Association and the head of the school of keyboard studies at Manchester College, died in a drowning accident while in Nevada City, Nevada, as a visiting professor for the Gold Country Piano Institute.
Ray also was the chair of the EPTA Management Committee and sub-editor of Piano Professionals. He was born in 1962 and studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and the University of Manchester, winning prizes at ...
