For 70 years, CONSUMER REPORTS has tested just about everything you can think of. For the rest of this anniversary year, we'll show you a photo each month and invite you to tell us what we were testing.
Winner of the June contest
When 1,104 readers studied the photo at right, some guessed we were testing pop rivets, bullets, pencil sharpeners, hot-tub jets, or, of course, home nuclear reactors.
