The government will soon raise the bar for what it considers a highly energy-efficient dishwasher. But if you're remodeling now (or if your dishwasher is broken), our Ratings can help you find an efficient and stylish performer.
As of next January, a dishwasher must be at least 41 percent more efficient than the minimum federal standard to display the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star label, indicating exemplary energy savings. That's up from the current 25 percent.
