BEIJING, April 11, SinoCast -- On April 8, Moody's published its first report on Taiwan's insurance sector. The report says that Taiwan insurance companies will further expand their businesses in the Mainland China.

Since August, 2002, Taiwan insurance companies have been allowed to set up affiliates in the Mainland China, which has been viewed as a good opportunity by the analysts for the Taiwan insurance sector.

The news from China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) said that ten Taiwan insurance companies have set up representative offices in the Mainland China. These companies include Cathay Life, …
