Vivendi Environnement, the French utility, announced plans on Tuesday to rename itself and change its corporate structure in a further bid to mark its independence from former parent Vivendi Universal, the media group.
Henri Proglio, chairman, will propose changing its name to Veolia Environnement at the annual shareholders meeting on April 30. He is also seeking to lead a new unified board of directors to replace the current two-tier structure of supervisory and management bodies.
