President Arroyo said yesterday the government would resume formal peace talks with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) but without its chairman, Hashim Salamat, and 49 other rebel leaders who are facing multiple murder charges over the bombing of the Davao International Airport last month.

Mrs Arroyo said the MILF panel would have to designate new representatives to the peace talks since its leaders are facing arrest for their alleged involvement in the bombing of the airport …
