Shortly before noon on January 25th, Scott Denton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was estimating costs on a building for his construction company when he heard a woman's cries for help. Investigating, he found a man and woman struggling in a car parked in a nearby alley. It appeared to be a sexual assault, since the two were partially unclothed and a belt was around the woman's neck.
Denton intervened, and the woman was able to escape from the vehicle. The would-be rapist tried to drive away, striking Denton (he was not seriously injured) and attempting to back over the woman.
