KARACHI, April 1 Asia Pulse - The Export Promotion Bureau has set a rice export target of around 1.9 million tonnes, valued at around US$575 million, for the year 2003-04.

This was decided in a meeting, chaired by EPB Chairman Tariq Ikram, to review exports of rice.

The meeting observed that this year (2002-03) rice export target of $460 million would not only be surpassed but substantial additional export revenue would be earned.
