INDIA'S NASSCOM MAY SERVE AS "REFERRAL POINT" FOR VISA MATTERS.
NEW DELHI, April 1 Asia Pulse - Against a backdrop of recent swoops on Indian IT professionals abroad, the National Association of Software Services Companies (Nasscom) will explore the possibility of serving as an "independent referral point" for embassies, with regard to the verification process for individuals applying for visa.
"Many countries require certain data to be provided when visa is applied for, and then check on that data. Nasscom can help embassies by serving as an independent referral point for verification of credentials of individuals applying for the visa. We will explore such a possibility," Nasscom President Kiran Karnik told PTI here.
