NEW DELHI, April 1 Asia Pulse - In a watershed EXIM policy, the Indian government announced a major package for exports of services, with a special focus on high growth sectors like textiles, automobiles, gems and jewellery, and has dismantled restrictions on the exports of five items like paddy, rare earth and cotton linters.
Unveiling the policy, Federal Commerce Minister Arun Jaitely simplified procedures, making the Export Promotion Credit Guarantee (EPCG) scheme more flexible and attractive and giving new impetus to agriculture exports.
