CANBERRA, April 1 Asia Pulse - The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) board is expected to keep interest rates steady when it meets today for the first time since war in Iraq began.
It would be the 10th consecutive month interest rates would stay unchanged and the longest interest rate freeze in more than three years.
Economists said the mood of uncertainty and the war in Iraq meant the RBA would stay its hand.
The last time local interest rates moved was a quarter of a percentage point rise in June last year, taking the cash rate to its current level of 4.75 per cent.
