Byline: Restructuring sees newcomer Eddie Teh take the top spot, writes Marcus Hand in Singapore
PSA Corp has unveiled its new top management with deputy chairman Eddie Teh appointed group chief executive officer. The company has also divided its world focus into four key regions.
With Mr Teh's appointment as group chief executive, current group president and chief executive, Ng Chee Keong, loses all his international responsibilities and becomes president and chief executive of PSA Singapore.
Singapore is one of four key regions. The others being Europe, Asia ' the Middle East and China. Each region will have an individual chief executive reporting to Mr Teh.
Mr Ng had been group president for little more than a year and group chief executive only since last September.
A PSA spokeswoman said that you 'could not really compare the old with the new' and stressed that Singapore was extremely important to PSA, accounting for 90% of group operational cashflow.
