Leicester City Council and Leicestershire Economic Partnership have pledged to help Braunstone Community Association, which has been given a last chance to improve its GBP49.5 million New Deal regeneration scheme.

As reported in the Mercury, there have been a number of critical Government reports on weak management and disunity in the BCA, leading to the departure of its two most senior managers.

Government advisers are working with residents and BCA staff to draw up an action plan which must be finalised at a meeting on March 8.
