Brunei: New literature prize in the works.

The Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) Brunei Darussalam, DBP Malaysia and Pusat Bahasa Indonesia are currently planning a concept towards providing another literature prize, the Islamic Literature Award.
Hj Abdul Hakim bin Hj Mohd Yassin, the DBP's Director said the idea for such an award was mooted out by Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Ustaz Hj Awg Badaruddin during a dinner banquet in conjunction with the 42nd Conference of the Language Council of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia and Malaysia (MABBIM) and the 8th Southeast Asian Literature Council (MASTERA).
