National Express Group has named Adam Walker as FD. Walker joined the group in 2001, previously holding the role of corp-orate development director. He served as a director of corporate finance at Arthur Andersen and as associate director at NatWest Markets.
Mothercare has named Steven Glew as FD, continuing his tenure in senior financial roles within the retail sector. Glew's most recent position was group FD at Crown Sports. He spent 15 years at Tesco, serving as FD Tesco Stores before being appointed finance and supply chain director for Tesco Ireland.
Jim Perrie has been appointed FD at Yorkshire Group, having served as FD on an interim basis since Martin Towers' move to Kelda Group. Perrie was formerly FD of wallpaper group Vymura.
Royal Dutch/Shell has promoted FD Judy Boynton to the ruling committee of managing directors. She becomes the first woman to join the company's executive board.
Former Lloyds TSB group FD Kent Atkinson has joined material technology group Cookson as a non-executive director. Atkinson retains non-executive roles at Lloyds TSB, Coca-Cola HBC SA and Marconi.
P&O Princess Cruises CFO Nick Luff is to rejoin P&O in the same role, following the expected merger of P&O Princess Cruises and Carnival. Luff previously served with P&O as finance director until the demerger of P&O Princess Cruises in October 2000.
