ISC West 2003
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 26, 2003
Fargo Electronics, Inc. today announced three additions to its HDP800 Series: the HDP825 Card Printer/Encoder, the HDP825-LC Laminating Card Printer/Encoder, and a field-upgradeable Card Lamination Module.
The announcement was made at the International Security Conference West 2003 (ISC West) March 26-28 in Las Vegas. Fargo manufactures card printer/encoders that create personalized plastic identification cards complete with digital images and text, lamination, and electronically encoded information.
HDP825 is a dual-sided, full-color direct-to-card printer/encoder that produces standard, CR-80 size cards. The HDP825 continues the same high-end features carried by the rest of the HDP800 Series, with two added features: Fargo's patented dual, auto-switching Card Input Hopper that lets users load up to 200 identical cards, or two different 100-card stacks for greater versatility; and a new tape-based Card Cleaning System that removes debris more effectively, resulting in reduced waste and higher-quality printed cards.
The new Card Lamination Module is available as a field-upgradeable option to the HDP825. The module applies Fargo's patented PolyGuard(TM) Overlaminate to one or both sides of the printed card for extended card life and added security and durability. PolyGuard is a polyester "patch," that makes card designs tamper-resistant and protects them from abrasion and fading. The module has dedicated controls for easier direct lamination control, a Reject Card Hopper that separates miscoded and misprinted cards, and a Card Lamination Flattener to reduce card bowing.
