IBM on Tuesday announced the availability of two new hosted services as part of its e-business on-demand strategy.

The services include a hosted CRM offering based on Onyx Software Corp.'s Onyx Enterprise CRM suite and a remote IT infrastructure management offering.

Both services are designed for medium-sized businesses.

The IBM Application Hosting for Onyx solution offers Onyx's CRM software hosted and managed by IBM Global Services. The service is implemented within 30 days and accessed through a Web browser, using a similar multi-tenanted approach as hosted CRM services like Salesforce.com, UpShot, Salesnet and NetLedger.

Onyx officials, in Bellevue, Wash., said the hosted service offers more "enterprise-class functionality" as well as better capabilities for customization, integration and scalability than existing hosted offerings.
