YOUNG track and field coaches have been urged to change their mindset and think beyond the SEA Games.

The message, according to the National Sports Council (NSC), must reach the masses, especially schoolkids aspiring to become national athletes.

And the NSC see coaches as bearers and interpreters of the government policy in attaining excellence at Asian level.

NSC director of international preparations, Ahmad Shapawi Ismail, made this clear yesterday.
