WASHINGTON -- WASHINGTON, March 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The McDonald's Family Restaurants of the Greater Washington, DC area will honor 25 outstanding high school seniors and 25 of their most influential teachers on March 27, 2003, during the Ray A. Kroc Student/Teacher Achievement Awards Ceremony. In its 17th year, the scholarship dinner takes place at the Four Points Sheraton in Hagerstown, Md., and honors students and their teachers from Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Established in 1984 in honor of McDonald's founder, Ray A. Kroc, this program recognizes high school seniors for all-round excellence in the areas of citizenship, leadership, scholarship and community service.
