SINGAPORE, March 19 (Bernama) -- The mysterious flu virus may not have a name yet, but Hong Kong doctors have claimed a major breakthrough by identifying its family, an afternoon tabloid, The New Paper, reported.

The bug, which causes Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), has been confirmed to be a virus. However, doctors stopped short of saying whether the disease is curable, it quoted the Hong Kong Standard.

The virus was identified by a team from the Prince of Wales Hospital and the Chinese University of Hong Kong as being part of the paramyxoviridae family, which includes the Nipah virus that…
