Shell Expro set to reveal North Sea job losses.

Energy Editor SHELL Expro is to announce job losses among its North Sea workforce on Monday.

A company spokesman confirmed last night that workers would be told the outcome of an offshore business improvement review that day.

However, he would not say how many jobs would be going.

"There will be some reductions among staff and contractors, but I can't confirm numbers until our people are told on Monday," he said.

Nearly 1,600 people work in the area affected by the review - about 665 Shell employees and 920 contractors employed by Sigma 3 (North Sea), a joint-venture company involving Amec, …
