Moldovan president appeals to Dniester region for unity.

Chisinau, 15 March: Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin has called on the residents of the breakaway Dniester region to work for the unification of the country.

"No matter how fruitfully mediators work for the settlement of the Dniester conflict or how big the interest of the international community is, the key to the unification of the country is only in your hands", the president said in a statement on Saturday [15 March].
