Amersham Biosciences has introduced the AKTApilot, a sanitary bench-top separations system for purifying proteins. AKTApilot is a bench-top separations system that fills the critical gap in protein production, linking bench-scale process development with large-scale protein manufacturing. The new system is ideal for scientists needing to carry out process development through small-scale production on the same unit, which was not previously possible with traditional protein purification systems.
