COIMBATORE, March 12. THE Rs 400-crore poultry major, Suguna group of Udumalpet is expanding its activities to sericulture. The group has planned to promote mulberry-cocoon integrated farming in about 10 zones, which may, at a later stage, be extended to silk reeling/fabrication as well.
The group has floated a new outfit - Suguna Agro Products Pvt Ltd - to handle its sericulture operations that will be known as the silk division.
