Business Editors
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 13, 2003
International Data Group (IDG), the world's leading technology media company, today announced that several of its esteemed editors received top honors in eight categories at the 2003 Jesse H. Neal National Business Journalism Awards ceremony, held yesterday at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. This year, CIO magazine received the Grand Neal Award, the top editorial honor granted to one publication across all categories and circulation sizes. Launched in 2002, CSO magazine received "Best New Publication," and placed as first runner-up in the Grand Neal category. Bio-IT World's team captured "Best Single Article" and "Best Subject-Related Series of Articles," while Computerworld editors took home "Best News Coverage." The American Business Media's annual Neal Awards recognizes editorial excellence in independent business publications.
"The Neal Awards set the standard for editorial quality in the trade media, and IDG is proud to be recognized," said Pat Kenealy, CEO of IDG. "Subscriber renewal rates, newsstand sales, and advertising response give our publishers daily proof of the quality of their magazines and newspapers, but it's gratifying when our editors' efforts are directly recognized by their peers. I congratulate our winners and applaud their commitment to excellence as they assist readers in making critical business and technology decisions."
