As 2003 begins to take shape, one characteristic already stands out: it's going to be a busy and important year for the National Confectioners Association (NCA). Naturally, this is always an active period for the association, given that we are in the final planning stages for the ALL CANDY EXPO and making final preparations for the State of the Industry Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz., Feb., 20-22.

I'm pleased to report that more industry attendees signed up for the State of the Industry Conference this year than ever before. I think it's a sign that our industry is hungry for quality education, networking and idea-sharing among peers.
