You couldn't necessarily tell from the Ratings of electric ranges on page 52, but the new Whirlpool Polara is pretty special.

Although it ranked last among the electric smoothtop ranges we tested, the Polara is still very good overall--and it is the only range on the market that doubles as a cooler. Below its oven are the workings for a refrigerator that you can program to keep the food cool before baking.

With the Polara, you can put a roast or casserole in the oven in the morning, set the range to keep the food cool during the day, then cook it just before you return in the evening. It will automatically keep the food warm for up to an hour after it's been cooked, then begin another cooling cycle. The cooling works for up to 24 hours.
