Supporters of the University of Michigan's race-conscious admission plans filed more than 60 briefs with the Supreme Court on the two upcoming affirmative action cases this month. They came from 300 groups including:

* More than 50 higher education associations

* More than 60 top Fortune 500 companies

* More than 13,000 law students

* More than 100 Democrats in the U.S. House

* More than 25 top retired military leaders

* Labor groups: AFL-CIO, UAW, NEA
