High-tech pan-European public relations consultancy Strategic Alliance International, headquartered in Old Amersham, Bucks, has been presented with the Investors in People award in recognition of its commitment to employee satisfaction and development. Investors in People is a national standard which aims to set a level of good practice within organisations for the development of staff to help achieve their overall business goals.

"We realise that motivated employees are our life-blood and at the end of the day it is them that are responsible for keeping our clients happy and maintaining our reputation," said Nigel Parker, Strategic Alliance International's managing director. "Especially in consultancy organisations, people are the most important asset and we are dedicated to ensuring this is recognised. The staff turnover rate in public relations is naturally high, but our employees have an average of at least three years' service.
