Budapest, March 2 (MTI) - The Democratic Roma Coalition (DRC) won the repeated national Gypsy election which lasted until Sunday dawn. The rival Lungo Drom managed to win two seats in the National Gypsy Self-Government.

The self-government will have 53 members: 51 were elected from the DCR, which is considered to be close to the left-wing parties, while Lungo Drom, considered to be close to the opposition Fidesz-Hungarian Civic Party, won two seats.

Lungo Drom leader Florian Farkas, an MP of the Fidesz-Hungarian Civic Party and former President of the National Gypsy Self-Government, was elected in 52nd place. …
