LIVNO, March 1 (ONASA) - The Livno Canton Interior Ministry (MUP) has no data on the number of vehicles imported by disabled veterans on benefits, that is without paying customs and tax duties, or data on the owners of those vehicles.
In the control carried out so far, the Ministry has not found any misuse of the benefits.
Since 1999 until the end of February 2003, a total of 271 users of such benefits have been registered in the Canton.
Head of the MUP's Sector of Crime Police Husein Bukvic has said that the cantonal MUP in January received an information from the Federation MUP that all owners of vehicles imported on benefits must report to the nearest customs office which will then check their documents on vehicles and possibly ask for the payment of some legal obligations.
