MALAYSIA'S TALIWORKS REPORTS US$7.6 MLN TURNOVER IN Q4.
KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 Asia Pulse - Taliworks Corporation Berhad (KLSE:TWRK) has reported group turnover of RM28.88 million (US$7.6 million) in the fourth quarter ended 31 December 2002, down from RM31.05 million in the same quarter in FY2001.
It said in a statement the lower turnover was due mainly to the disposal of carpets business segment in September 2002.
Group profit before taxation for the current quarter was RM11.80 million which was lower than RM12.40 million recorded for the same period in FY2001.
The slight decrease in profit was due mainly to lower profit contribution from an associated company.
For the 2002 financial year, group turnover amounted to RM130.86 million, an increase of RM13.35million from the previous year.
Group profit before taxation was RM53.58 million, up RM15.08 million from FY2001.
