MELBOURNE, March 3 Asia Pulse - The Olivier Internet Job Index for February showed a rebound for the Australian economy, with a 22.3 per cent rise in jobs advertised on the internet.

It represented an increase of 11,212 on January.

Olivier Recruitment Group director Robert Olivier said the very low job ad numbers at the beginning of January meant the index was coming off a low base.

"The more telling statistic is that there were 4.7 per cent more jobs than this time last year. That's good news for the economy and very good news for job seekers," Mr Olivier said.
