Belfast Giants 3 Sheffield Steelers 1
BELFAST Giants coach Dave Whistle has asked his players for an improved performance when they take on the London Knights tomorrow evening.
Whistle was pleased to take a further two points last night in the bid to reach the play-off finals in Nottingham, but not the all-round display against a weakened and sluggish Sheffield Steelers side.
"We need to go to London and give a better performance than that," said Whistle.
"They will be in their rink and will be hurting after we won there the last few times."
The Giants took the lead with seven minutes on the clock, Steve Thornton slamming home the puck from distance after a Rod Stevens pass.
