THE local director of Wycliffe Bible Translators has just returned from a two week mission to Cameroon with a group of local church representatives.
"It was a dual purpose trip," said John Hamilton.
"Our group included representatives of churches that are partnering with the Oku Bible Translation and Literacy Project in the north-west province of Cameroon, plus others whose aim was to visit Wycliffe members from their churches currently working in a literacy project with the Ejagham people of south-west Cameroon.
About 100,000 Oku people live in the north-west Highlands, an area not unlike the Mournes.
