THE Church of Ireland has set up a new committee to monitor politics and legislation in Northern Ireland.

The 13-member Legislation and Politics Committee (NI) is chaired by Canon Walter Lewis, the rector of St Thomas' Parish, Belfast, and has a wide representation from the Church and the legal and academic professions.
