HEARTLESS thieves have stolen a terminally ill Ulster girl's portable television, video player, karaoke machine and Playstation in a burglary at her home.

And the thieves staged the break-in as she was visiting her grandmother in hospital, two days after she had suffered a severe stroke.

The burglars also made off with the family Compaq computer, which Emma Wilson (16) used to watch some of her favourite CD-Roms.

In addition they snatched a new Bush wide-screen TV, another video player, two other portable televisions, a stereo system and a jewellery box containing some highly sentimental items which are irreplaceable.

Emma's mother Marie Linthwaite is devastated.
