THE remaining contents of Mourne Park, a Co Down stately home which featured in a bitter and controversial family courtroom saga earlier this year, come under the hammer this spring.

Dublin-based auction house HOK is organising what could be the sale of the century.

The sale involves around 1,500 lots including fine 18th and 19th century continental and English furniture, oil paintings, garden statuary, porcelain, glass and silver.

"The contents are being sold on the instructions of Philip Anley and Debonair Horsman and will be held over two days," HOK spokesperson Claire McGoldrick said today.
