NEW police statistics show that rape attacks are occurring in west Belfast at the rate of one every four weeks, it emerged today.
The statistics also indicate that rape attacks have risen by 20% across the province, although the total number of sexual offences has dropped slightly.
The figures show that 11 people were raped in west Belfast between April and December last year - an average of one a month.
