One of the three people suspected of robbing and murdering a company president in Chuo Ward, Kobe, was appointed president of two companies owned by the president after his death, investigators have learned.
Police suspect Shuichi Kamie, 32, planned to murder Hidetaka Tanaka, 47, so he could get hold of the latter's assets.
Kamie, along with Yukiko Fukuoka, 23, a secretary working for Tanaka, and Minoru Ibushi, 34, Tanaka's former driver, is under arrest in connection with the death of Tanaka in January at Fukuoka's apartment.
