Paris, 1885 (1) - The Funeral of Victor Hugo Those who have stayed in Paris and have even a small interest in French literature or drama will probably have visited the Victor Hugo Museum (Maison de Victor Hugo). This house, where the poet lived from 1832 to 1848 and where he wrote Les Miserables, faces onto the quiet Place des Vosges in the IV Arrondissement.
