"The devil laughs at those who speak of next year." This Japanese proverb can aptly be applied to the U.S.-Japan relationship, which has seen dramatic and unexpected changes in the 58 years since the end of World War II. But I have been asked to provide a look at the U.S.-Japan relationship over the next 10 years.
