CIGARETTES, ALCOHOLIC DRINKS WITH RM6.5 MILLION UNPAID TAXES SEIZED.

PORT KLANG, Feb 27 (Bernama) -- Selangor Customs have seized cigarettes and alcoholic drinks with total unpaid tax value of more than RM6.5 million in operations carried out here and in Pandamaran throughout this month.

Its Director, Datuk Wazir Muaz said on Feb 18, a 12-metre container which contained 51,350 cartons of Marlboro and Dunhill cigarettes was seized at the North Port after a public tip-off.

The goods in the container had earlier been declared as studio sound system equipment, he told a media conference at Wisma Kastam here today, adding they had an estimated value of RM770,250 and unpaid …
