You want lots of impact? You're out of luck, but that doesn't mean teams will find barren shelves in this year's free-agent market.

Go. Stock up. You may not find your dream product, but there is plenty available to satisfy what you need.

The 2003 class of free agents comprises mostly interesting mid-level contributors who can fill specific roles for teams looking to add depth. Oh, there are studs--wide receiver David Boston, defensive ends Hugh Douglas and Vonnie Holliday and linebackers Anthony Simmons and Rosevelt Colvin. But most NFL teams are doing a smart job of retaining their most valuable talents before these individuals become free agents.
