The world can be pretty confusing sometimes, even to the most educated, sophisticated and skilled among us. Surely there is a time in everyone's life when it would be oh so nice to have a compass to give us some direction, signposts to point the way down obscure paths, and/or access to an oracle to help us understand where we're going. And given how complicated the lives are that most of us lead, this is magnified ten-fold when applied to the many priorities we have in life: work, family, community and more.
I certainly don't have answers for all these concerns, but I do think we can parlay some of the advice found in The Ten Demandments, by Kelly Mooney, to our careers and our organization. And in doing so, I hope that NACM can boost your confidence in the decisions you make daily.
Kelly Mooney says that a successful company operates like a good tour guide, who "points out the key features along the way and empowers customers to take informed control of their decisions." Further, she says that it's about riding alongside the customer to help them get exactly what they want and need.
We at NACM-National are passionate about our association and what it can provide to you, the NACM member. Think of NACM as your tour guide. NACM would like to go along with you for the ride. We will offer guided assistance to you every step of the way.
"Guidance is about training and knowledge transfer; it passes along your expertise to your customers, who then walk away with a real understanding of what they're getting from folks," states Kelly Mooney.
