Colombian vice-president in New York says USA must reduce demand for drugs.

Colombian Vice-President Francisco Santos said yesterday in New York that, besides combating drug production and trafficking, the country should also get more involved in reducing demand.

"We, Colombians, need to be more involved in what the United States is doing to reduce demand and to help children and young people", Santos added during a visit to Brooklyn's Phoenix Centre, dedicated to the treatment and education of former drug addicts.
