THREE new ministers were sworn in and assigned portfolios yesterday by President Olusegun Obasanjo, following the endorsement of their nomination by the Senate, early this week. The new ministers are Dr Aliyu Modibbo Umar from Gombe State, Elder Magnus Odion Ugbesia (Edo State) and Ambassador Aderemi Esan (Osun) State. Modibbo is now Minister of State Power and Steel, Ugbesia Minister of State Internal Affairs, while Esan was posted to Works and Housing as Minister of State for that ministry. Modibbo replaced Alhaji Murtala Aliyu who resigned to contest gubernatorial election in Gombe State. Modibbo …
