Top IT players expect stronger PC for the future.

Taiwan's top information technology (IT) players yesterday shared their views on mobile computing, saying notebook computers in the future will be characterized by greater performance, smaller sizes, longer battery life and wireless connectivity to the Internet.

"Notebook CPUs will in the future have a speed greater than 10 giga-hertz and include multimedia processing capabilities," said Saying Wen, vice chairman of the Inventec Group. "In addition, mobility and built-in cameras will be a main feature in every PC to allow instant transmission of multimedia content."
