Last week, the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD) issued the results of a survey it conducted nationwide on the performance of the NPP government and President Kufuor personally. The results showed a high degree of public approval of the president and his government so far. The survey's sample covered 1,200 respondents nationwide. The government's approval rating was 57% while the president had an even more impressive 74%. But these figures were arrived at before the increase in the price of petroleum products late last month.
