THE new basketball season due to jumpstart on February 22, inside the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium certainly holds a lot of promises, especially with an approval for a female national league to follow in due course. The proposed female basketball league is one of the decisions reached at the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF Board meeting held a fortnight ago. News of the league which will have five conferences in place left many female club proprietors jumping for joy and in reaction noted that it is a welcome development.
